The Beginning
In 2012 a women’s group from a local church was looking for a way to give back to women in Alaska. At that same time, through former Alaska Governor Parnell and First Lady Sandy, Alaskans began to see that sex trafficking was not just a third-world problem, but that it was thriving here on our home soil.
Priceless founder Gwen Adams was a member of the Governor’s task force for the Crimes of Human Trafficking and Sexual Slavery. Her time on this task force brought the issue in our state to light. We could not ignore the reality any longer and decided to actively seek to engage and bring about change. Priceless, as an organization, was born. Since Priceless began direct client work, almost 200 survivors have been referred into our program.

Love Alaska and Chosen
In 2016, Priceless came under the 501(c)3 organizational umbrella of Love Alaska, which exists to equip, engage, and mobilize the faith community to serve those whom society has marginalized.
In an effort to get upstream of trafficking in our state, Love Alaska launched an initiative called Chosen Alaska in 2017. Chosen serves as the preventative arm in the fight against sex trafficking by providing mentorship to at-risk youth in Alaska, a population that is highly vulnerable to traffickers. |
