The 2020 Sex Trafficking Conference is intended to help healthcare professionals identify victims of sex trafficking and intervene when appropriate, educate on social media/pornography methods of seducing victims, and provide resources/tools in prevention. Subsequently, providers will be taught self-help methodologies in mitigation of compassion fatigue from the secondary trauma experiences which occur when assisting victims.
Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. ANTHC designates this activity as meeting the criteria for one nursing contact hour credit for each hour of participation up to a maximum of 5.5 hours.
